In addition, because synthetic cannabinoids include hundreds of different chemical compounds, their chemical composition and resultant neuropharmacology is varied. Therefore, the efficacy of naloxone to improve symptoms after synthetic cannabinoid use may vary depending on the exact synthetic cannabinoid compound s involved. Despite these limitations, these case results provide a basis to initiate further investigation into how clinicians might address the adverse health consequences of a class of drugs with no presently known antidote.
